A clinical trial is a type of research carefully designed to determine the effectiveness and safety of a drug or device in humans. In a disease such as melanoma, which has few treatment effective options for those in its advanced stages, participation in clinical trials is especially crucial. Without volunteers, progress in finding a cure simply won't happen.

If you or a loved one has participated in a clinical trial for skin cancer, what made you decide to go that route? Sharing your story just might help somebody in the same situation make the best decision.
